Just a quick Thank You so much for the fabulous food yesterday; it was a great success and the guests absolutely LOVED the meal. It looked and tasted fantastic. I particularly loved those pretty coloured chocolate confections that looked like precious metal ingots – incroyable! Also the goose rillette tarts were delicious… my goodness….We’ll drop the clean trays etc and the cheque off later this week, if that’s ok with you.

I ate escargot (18 of them!) then hare casserole, tender & moist with a flavour that Id love to be able to replicate. My partner had Venison pate then Beef & chestnut pie which, again, melted in the mouth & was rich & velvety. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thanks again to all the staff.

- Three of us went for dinner and overall we enjoyed it – if I had been with anyone other than my guests, I would have returned the runny souffle though. As delicious as it is, I did find it a little pricey given the portions — Cassoulet should be a hearty bowl and for nearly £20 was, I thought, overpriced compared to some of the comparable restaurants. We would hesitate to go back but would recommend it.

While being in Cambridge I did quite some research and asked some locals about the best places for food.
Le Gros Franck (read as The Fat Frank) has a really good reputation and is a place I would definitely like to go to on my next visit.

We have had several parties catered by Franck for many years now in our home and they are always of an extremely high standard, exquisitely presented and delicious. Our latest party was held last Sunday 14 December, 2008 and the food was even more special and mouth-watering. This time we asked for food to made so we didn’t have to use cutlery. The colourful spread Franck made for us was wonderfully creative. It is well worth the money to have Le Gros Franck cater for us.
Just had the best meal I had in Cambridge since I arrived 6 months ago. The food was excellent, and the waiter was friendly. He was not very good with bringing alternative drinks, though (we had to remind him that we had asked him for water; and he forgot the tea at the end – which we didn’t bother to remind him and just savored the yummy deserts) – but he was friendly at least, and apart those two glitches, the service was good… A great discovery for me in Cambridge!
